Lower Dolpo Trek: 25 Nights/26 Days

Itinerary:

Day 01 : Kathmandu

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport; Meet, Greet and Assist at the Airport by Red Rose Representative; Transfer to the Hotel; Hotel Check In; Fresh Up; O/N 


Day 02 : Kathmandu Activities

Breakfast at the Hotel; Collection of Passports to prepare Permits; Move for a 1/2-Day Kathmandu City Sightseeing; Arrive at Red Rose Office at Thamel; Payment Conclusion; Handover of Permits and Passport; Short briefing of the Trek; Checking of the Trekking Equipments and Gear by our Trekking Manager; Return to the Hotel; Prepare for the Trek; O/N


Day 03 : Kathmandu-Nepalgunj

Breakfast at the Hotel; Free to make ultimate Preparation for the Trek; Hotel Check Out; Pick up from the hotel and drop to the airport; Fly to Nepalgunj; Arrival at Nepalgunj Airport; Assist by Red Rose Representative at the Airport and Transfer to the Hotel; O/N 


Day 04 : Nepalganj-Juphal (2250m)-Dunai

Breakfast at the Hotel; Hotel Check Out; Transfer to the Airport; Fly to Juphal; During the flight, enjoy a superb panorama of the Annapurnas, the Dhaulagiris and the Manaslu; Arrival at Juphal; Get prepared to trek; Walk for 3 Hours and Reach Dunai (2150m); Hotel Check In; O/N


Day 05 : Dunai-Tharakot (2700 m): 5 Hours

Breakfast at the Hotel; Trek to Tharakot; The trail goes along the Thulo Bheri river. Tharakot is a village, the place of an ancient fortress and a caravan stop; Arrive at Tharakot; O/N in a Tented Camp


Day 06 : Tharakot-Lahini ( 3200 m): 5 Hours

Breakfast; Follow the Steady ascent by steep trails through fir and juniper forests; Arrive Lahini; O/N


Day 07 : Lahini-Naure Odar (3100 m): 6 Hours

Breakfast; Walk along the narrow trail through the Tarap Khola gorges; Arrive at Naure Odar; O/N


Day 08 : Naure Odar-Dho (4000 m): 6 Hours

Breakfast; Come out onto the Tibetan plateau after a tough walk through a vegetation thinning out, towards Dho, the main village of the valley; O/N


Day 09 : Acclimatization day at Dho

Breakfast; Day at Leisure; Either enjoy the secnery seen by the camp or visit the three main villages of the Tarap valley including the Ri Bhumpa Gompa and Bon-Po Gompa monasteries; O/N


Day 10 : Dho-Camp (4100m): 5 Hours

Breakfast; Walk up to Camp; Get to know the Unique life style of the people, men trim their hair with red threads and wear them in a chignon as the Khampas from Tibet, and Women wear heavy silver headgears; Arrival at Camp; O/N


Day 11 : Camp- Nun La Pass (5360 m): 6 Hours

Breakfast; Move to Nun La Pass (Literally "salt pass"); Enjoy the views of the Annapurnas, the Dhaulagiri and the Nilgiri are superb; Descend the other side of the mountain and establish the campsite at 4200 m; O/N


Day 12 : Bivouac-Bagla La Pass (5090 m) - Roman (3800 m): 5 Hours

Breakfast; Trek to Roman via Bagla La Pass at 5090m; The trail offers the spectacular views of the emerald waters of the Phoksondo lake and the picturesque village of Ringmo form one of the most beautiful himalayan landscape; Arrival at Roman; O/N


Day 13 : Roman-Ringmo (3510 m): 2 Hours

Breakfast; Gentle walk around the lake and visit of the Tesu monastery-the monastery leads the whole life of Ringmo, inhabited by " Bothias ", an ethnic originally from Tibet ; Arrival at Ringmo; O/N


Day 14 : Ringmo-Pungmo (3500m): 5 Hours

Breakfast; Walk along the trail that follows the Phoksondo banks and later the Pungmo Khola river; Arrival at Pungmo; O/N


Day 15 : Pungmo-Lasa (4100m): 5 Hours

Breakfast; Follow the trail that passes through blue fir tree forests and later through birches and junipers; Arrival at Lasa; O/N


Day 16 : Lasa-Kagmara La (5115m)-Kagmara Phedi (4000m): 6 Hours

Breakfast; Walk up to Kagmara Phedi via Kagmara La. O/N


Day 17 : Kagmara Phedi-Toijem (2920m): 4 Hours

Breakfast; Descend on a moraine and then along the Garpung Khola river; Arrive at Toijem; O/N


Day 18 : Toijem-Kaigaon (2650m): 5 Hours

Breakfast; Walk along trail following the Ups and Downs for about 5 Hours; Arrival at Kaigaon; O/N


Day 19 : Kaigaon-Chaurikot (3060m): 4 Hours

Breakfast; Walk along upto Chaurikot; O/N


Day 20 : Chaurikot-Mauri Lagna Pass (3820m)-Chatra (3380m): 6 Hours

Breakfast; Walk upto Mauri Lagna: means " Honey Pass ". During spring, the trail lined with blue lilies, azaleas and blossoming rhododendrons; Enjoy the magnificent panorama of snowy summits: Gutumba (5608 m), Mata Tumba (5767 m), Bhahul Himal (5460 m); Arrival at Chatra; O/N


Day 21 : Chatra-Gotichaur (2650m)

Breakfast: Walk along the trail that is followed by Corn, potatoes, barley and buckwheat fields alternate with meadows and forests on its both sides; Arrival at Gotichaur; O/N


Day 22 : Gotichaur-Jumla (2300m): 5 Hours

Breakfast: Follow the Peaceful verdant areas strewn with shining irrigation canals and rivers. In summer, the flora brightly blossom: orchids, forget-me-nots, geraniums, mints, buttercups, gentians; Arrival at Jumla; O/N


Day 23 : Jumla-Nepalgunj

Breakfast; Catch an Early Plane and Fly to Nepalgunj; Assist and Transfer to the Hotel by Red Rose Representative; Hotel Check In; Evening: Free to Explore Nepalgung; O/N


Day 24 : Nepalgunj-Katmandu

Breakfast at the Hotel; Hotel Check Out; Transfer to the Airport; Fly to Kathmandu; Assist at the Airport by Red Rose Representative and Transfer to the Hotel; Hotel Check In; Evening: Free to Take Rest; O/N


Day 25 : Katmandu

Breakfast at the Hotel; Day at Leisure; Make Shopping at Thamel; Evening: Farewell Dinner organized by Red Rose; Return to the Hotel; O/N


Day 26 : Katmandu-Onward

Breakfast at the Hotel; Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport; Board on a Plane; Farewell!!
