Here are three different itineraries each for one-day rafting program in Trishuli river.

Itinerary

Itinerary 1

After 3 to 4 hours of drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara, we will reach our starting point Charaundi (85 km from Kathmandu). Here, an experienced guide will explain you and provide general information and safety precautions during the trip. We will start rafting from Charaundi to Kurintar. On the basis of rapids you encounter, this rafting can be classified as grade 2 to 3. We will have our lunch on the beach. Then we will enter the Trishuli gorge. As the canyon narrows the walls becomes steep, densely forested and along with this the current speeds up and rapids become powerful. After this exciting and challenging trip, you will drive back from Kurintar to Kathmandu or Pokhara by bus.



Itinerary 2

After an approx. 3 hours of drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Fishling, we will set out for our journey. An experienced guide will explain and will provide information about the trip ahead. We will start our rafting from Fishling to Mugling. On the basis of the rapids your counter, it can be classified into 2 – 3 grade. We will have our lunch on the beach enjoying the unique sculptured boulders. After having lunch, we will enter the Trishuli gorge. After this adventurous rafting trip, we will drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara.



Itinerary 3

After an approx. 3 hours of drive from Baireni to Malekhu, we will set out for our journey. An experienced guide will explain and will provide information about the trip ahead. We will start our raft from Fishling to Mugling. On the basis of the rapids you are going to encounter, it can be classified into 2 – 3 grade. After this adventurous rafting trip, we will drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Essential Info

Accomodations
3 star hotels in Kathmandu will be provided and in days during the trek you will have standard tea houses as accommodations. Rooms will be on twin sharing basis and you will be charged extra if you need a single room. Cases may be different for solo travelers and odd numbered groups or genetically different peoples travelling together. Standard teahouses will be provided during the trip days.

Meals
During a Tea House trek you will usually have breakfast and dinner in the Tea House, lunch will be eaten at one of the trail side restaurants. Every Tea House serves the traditional Nepali meal Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), as well as a variety of different food items, such as rice, vegetables, noodles, potatoes and soup. Some have Nepali versions of western food such as pizza, pasta and French fries. Soft drinks, snacks and beer are available in most of the Tea Houses and trail side restaurants. And of course Nepali milk tea is served everywhere.

 

Best Season
The best seasons to join this trek are autumn and spring. The weather is clear and views are breathtaking. Winter obviously is a good choice but you need to withstand strong colds. Summer or Monsoon will be affected by rainfalls but a good choice if you are into botany.
